Abstract
This course project develops a continuous-time optimal control model in which a social planner jointly chooses distributed photovoltaic subsidies and direct pollution abatement. Preliminary calibration points to a front-loaded and declining subsidy path and highlights the importance of grid efficiency and policy trust for avoiding inefficient subsidy use.
