Abstract
This project studies how a 2013 air-defense parking rent regulation affected housing supply decisions in Suzhou. Using detailed data on underground garage column spacing in residential complexes and a regression discontinuity design, I find evidence that the policy unintentionally reduced the construction quality of standard residential garages.
